About ME
Rinchen Tara, an inspiring early childhood educator, holds a Master's Degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor's Degree from Duke University. With eight years of experience in Youth Development and Early Childhood Education, she advocates for culturally relevant education and holistic social-emotional development. Born into a semi-nomadic family in North Eastern Tibet, Rinchen cherishes her childhood memories of listening to her grandma's traditional Tibetan folktales, sparking her interest in storytelling. Starting her education at Tibetan Children's Village in India, she found a scarcity of age-appropriate, high-quality children's books in Tibetan compared to English. Rinchen believes in fostering joy in learning through books and is now dedicated to creating captivating bilingual children's books to share her love for the Tibetan language and storytelling.
